Equinox Summit: Energy 2030
From June 5 to 9, Waterloo Global Science Initiative launches an ambitious undertaking – a global conversation about how cutting edge science can help us build a more sustainable future. The inaugural Equinox Summit: Energy 2030 takes place in Waterloo, Ontario at the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics which is known for its high level scientific collaborations and outreach activities.
The Equinox Summit will bring together leading top scientists in low-carbon technologies with a forum of young industry and policy experts and the next generation of world leaders to pool their expertise and create a realistic roadmap from the energy challenges of today to a more sustainable future in 2030.
These visionary researchers and decision makers will collaborate both in closed-door sessions and in free public presentations about the next generation of low-carbon energy solutions.
Post-summit updates and a 2013 Equinox conference will benchmark our progress and follow-up on the 2011 recommendations.
