REDD-net
REDD-net aims to provide NGOs, civil society, governments, practitioners and the private sector with the latest information about REDD+, enable experience-sharing and help build pro-poor projects and policies.
Specifically REDD-net aims to:
Increase understanding of the technical requirements for REDD+
Raise awareness of the implications of REDD+ financing mechanisms with particular reference to the interests of the forest-dependent poor
Improve civil society and NGO participation in pro-poor policy reforms
Generate well-informed civil society advocacy and awareness raising, to enhance equity in policy development
Strengthen the ability of community-based institutions to address REDD+ issues relating to sustainable use and conservation of natural resources.
