Adding comments to the pile, I believe EOR-CCS projects are complicated from a political point of view. More specially I don't believe is justifiable to finance oil recovery through carbon revenues, sounds a bit self defeating to me. This doesn't mean I dont agree with further exploting oil, but using carbon finance to do so is just not the right approach.

With regards to non EOR-CCS there are certainly over supply issues, but more importantly I believe clear and transparent mechanisms are required when financing CCS. Some governments are considering substantial subsidies to CCS projects which could be use to finance renewable energy projects. I do acknowledge that when it goes down to carbon reduction some CCS projects might be worth subsidising, but this should not undermine our capacity to deliver finance to a wider spectrum of clean technologies, specially if it comes from our taxes.
