Having said that and assuming that my investment would only focus on renewables, my investment portfolio would include companies developing/manufacturing/selling the following:
Flexible solar cells
Solar thermal heaters (Water heating)
Solar thermal cookstoves
Wind turbines
Water hydrolisis for hydrogen generation
Energy storage (batteries and new materials)
Fibre optic lightning
As you will see, this is a combination on energy generation and use, based on renewable sources. Use of wind and sun as the main sources of energy, plus the products that allow you to store and use such energy.
